I’m not sure if you know but I have another blog called Book Reviews for Mums on which I review lots of parenting books and lots of wonderful childrens books from new releases to classics to quirky titles like Whale Done Parenting! Anyways I would love you to pop over and visit sometime. Budget tip: it makes a lot of sense to read a review before you purchase a book it can be a big expense and always, always check out prices second hand on Amazon before paying full price!
Book Reviews for Mums is a real labour of love for me as I get immense pleasure from reading to my children. I also love to read for myself and have just read the wonderful My Daddy Cooks which has recently been released .I have loads of cooking ideas up my sleeve now…. anyway I digress.
The reason I am writing this post is to tell you about this:
Book People have named my blog Book Reviews for Mums one of their top ten book review websites currently on the internet. I am really chuffed to bits. It is the first time it has been recognised in a ny way and I love the Book People (such good value!) here’s what they said …

This blog not only provides a darn good read, but also acts as a support network for those mums and dads who are taking their first tentative steps in the world of parenting. Mums and dads share their informed thoughts on children’s books, parenting books and books that stress the importance of wellbeing for the whole family.
The fabulous redtedart blog who also shares lovely book reviews also made the top 10

Look no further for a hub of reviews on children’s books old and new. The theory behind this book review site is that children are never too young to be read to – which is the very same theory that we like to adopt at the Book People. With literacy levels in the UK at a frightening low, get inspired by children’s books by reading informative and interesting reviews from Red Ted.
Personally my absolute favourite book reviews site is Zoe Toft’s Playing by the book I have written about this amazing childrens book review site before, I find it absolutely inspirational as a base to kids art, music play and culture. I highly recommend it to you as a real source of ideas over the lovely, long summer holidays.
I’ll give the Book People the last word and I’ll absolutely stop showing off 😉
