Your book is wonderful, thank you!

After expecting to return to work as a Homeless persons officer after a short maternity leave I have had to leave work 8 weeks early due to SPD and my contract isnt being renewed for me to return. Working in local authority I always expected my contratct to be renewed.

I bought your book from Amazon the day I found out I wouldnt have a job to retun to and eagerly awaited it’s arrival. I read through it one sitting and felt so confident that we can manage only on my Husbands Self Employed wage.

I am 31, married and due to have my fIrst baby in May and I so far have only bought the absolute essentials and unisex clothes. I have also approached friends asking if they might have anything i can borrow. I tell them that I intend to stay at home as long as i possibly can and all seem very keen to help the cause with donations and suggestions,

So far my best acheievment is a holiday at a family friends cottage in Somerset. It is truly the most beautiful village and we have been offered it for a week whilst they go away in September. My parents explained our situation and they were happy to help give us a holiday whilst their cottage was empty! I cant wait to seek out some beautiful contry walks with Stanley our boxer dog and our baby.

I have recommended this book to all my friends be they expectant or new mothers.

Thanks Becky, I look forward to the email updates!!

    Kate.

Hi – i’ve just subscribed to your blog to be received by email.

I would love to receive one of your flexi-baths up for grabs. I am expecting my 2nd child and our daughter is already 3 years old. We will be travelling to various weddings this summer and hopefully stretch a holiday into our budget this year so this would be really useful. We don’t have a baby bath, our daughter used an in bath support but with a baby bath she can be more involved in baby care and create a greater bond with her new sibling.

So glad I’ve accidently come across your blog. I’ve just started maternity leave today. I was forced to return to work when our daughter was 11 months due to my husbands visa difficulties, I would love to be able to manage our budget and spend more time off with this little one, as well as with my daughter before she starts school.
