Our most fruitful family hacks and a fabulous competition from Nature’s Finest

Nature’s Finest are a top quality potted fruit brand and they pick and pack fruit at the peak of it’s ripeness to lock in all of its goodness and naturally sweet taste. That what makes it so fruity!

They currently they have a new campaign called Fruitful Family. The Campaign is focused around the brands motto of ‘the finest fruit made easy’.

It’s all about hunting for Britain’s most fruitful family, the family who life hacks their way to a more fruitful and easy life.  The campaign invites families to upload a submission to the Nature’s Finest website stating why they think they are the most fruitful family.

Family time is precious, but with parents often exhausted at the end of a working day and children focused on gadgets we forget to spend just five minutes together.  Nature’s Finest is on a mission to find and champion families who use simple solutions or life hacks to ensure time is spent together, through the campaign ‘Britain’s Most Fruitful Family’.

Run through the brands Facebook page, the campaign is asking families to send in the life hacks that help them to spend more time together as a family, encouraging others to try the same and embrace a fruit-ful lifestyle.

The campaign runs from 24th October through to 28th November and the winning family with the best life hack will receive £1,000 worth of Sainsbury’s vouchers – Thats a bit handy just before Christmas wouldn’t you say!!!

Our life hacks are pretty simple but very effective at helping us make the most out of life together. Here are 4 of our finest!

  1. Every night before bed we prepare school shoes, clothes, school bags and packed lunches, this really helps give us a flying start in the mornings when everyone is a bit sleep muddled. It means we get to enjoy breakfast and a chat together rather than rushing about.  I am convinced this happier and more relaxed time spent together makes our days more fruitful.
  2. At the start of each weekend and every school holiday I sit with the children and hash out a few ideas about what they would like to do and make a wish list of activities including family activities . We then choose a few, ensuring family time is booked in and prioritised.
  3. When it comes to food I like my kids to eat really healthily but they have a natural aversion to get green stuff. So what I do is pack it in where its not so visible, fruity kebabs, salad stuffed veggie burgers, home-made soups, fruit salads in a meringue, that kind of thing. And I don’t harp on about it, and I feed them after exercise when they are really hungry.  When we all sit together and have a good old nature they eat really well and picnics are their favourite thing (fruit pots on the go like Nature’s Finest are a must!) ! These are the hacks to getting kids eating well and to encourage our family to spend quality time together! banana-muffins
  4. We  are also big budgeters in our family but again try to make that as fun and pain free as possible. Using up leftovers in tasty ways is one hack we love to put into place. My banana muffins are legendary in our house I always involve the kids in the baking with me  – we have lots of giggles in the kitchen, save money and avoid waste!

What life hacks do you have that make your life more fruitful and encourage more family time ?
