Galt Toys, whose products are designed to be fun, but also to encourage learning through play make toys for 0-10 year olds. They let me pick a couple of toys to review and here is what I chose:
Changing Picture Puzzle: Haunted Shipwreck £6.99
A perfect puzzle for my 6 year old son. He loved the 3d effect and the fact that the sea creatures changed to pirate skeletons when you moved, Good quality and lots of fun. he really enjoyed this. Puzzles always get a lot of play time in our house (and give me 30 minutes peace!) .The two other titles in the range feature woodland animals changing to fairies and a space station changing into an explosion of aliens (he’d like that one too!)
Fairy Baking Set £10.99
I have really tried not to gender stereotype but she is a really pink kind of girly! Annalise aged 3 loves to cook and loves fairies so this seemed the perfect choice. It contains a little rolling pin, iceing bits and bobs and some nice metal cutters, a large fairy, love heart, flowers, toadstool and a set of wipe clean recipes cards. We made some biscuits within about 3 minutes of her seeing the box and we made large fairies. They got eaten before I could even take a photo! A lovely set perfect for little hands, that we will use time and again,
Our experiecne of Galt toys are that they are lovely, creative, colourful and fun.
Galt Toys can be found at www.jamesgalt.com where they have launched an Activity Zone full of free downloads for interesting ‘Make & Dos’. Always a brilliant way to whilse away a rainy day with a little one.
