Last weekend we headed down to Norfolk for a few nights reviewing Heacham Beach Park Resorts. I had a brief look on the website and I knew it wasn’t a big busy park but that it was right by the sea, had a pool and entertainment for the kids.
We arrived to find a very quiet park as the season really is coming to an end and this really suited us. Our caravan (gold plus) was absolutely lovely. It was well equipped, had lots of storage, was clean and really well set out. We could have space from each too if we needed it. there were lots of cutlery and utensils, a lovely shower, comfy beds and great lighting. We were so pleased with it. I had been warned it would be nippy but the electric heater was great and soon warmed away any chills
Oh what can I tell you about Heacham beach. It is literally a 1 minute walk from the Park Resort and it is absolutely beautiful. It has just won a very well deserved excellent beach award. It is sandy but full pf pretty stones and shells too and it is empty. At the entrance to the beach is a lovely informal beach cafe (that does a great breakfast till 3pm and lots of cheap and nice family friendly meals.)
It wasn’t particularly sunny but we spent hours on the beach playing football, skimming stones, playing stone bowls, making pictures with shells and hunting for treasures, walking reading and just generally drinking in the peace. A lovely beach indeed
The park amenities
The park itself had reception, a swimming pool, a football/basketball pitch, an adventure playground, launderette, and a small supermarket. There was
We had great fun playing footie and basket ball and the adventure park was excellent for under 7’s
The pool wasn’t pristine and did look a bit ‘end of season’ but the kids didn’t care, the lifeguard was great and they even hand an hour aqua jetting for just £4 each which they absolutely adored.
The tavern had lovely food with lots of veggie options which was great for us. The footie was on the TV which pleased my hubbie no end (sigh) There were games for the younger kids pre -bingo but to be honest only very tiny kids were ther and not many of them so it was just soft play stories and balloons really. My daughter joined in a little and the staff were lovely to her.
We didn’t play bingo but for those who love it is on several times a day and it looked like their were big prizes to be won through links up with other parks and it looked a happy, cosy, fun environment.
The shop was fine and sold all the basic necessities that you would need.
We had a brilliant time, location is everything to us and what a location this park is in…..
This is what my kids had to say ….
” The Aquajets were awesome”
“Loved the massive chocolate brownie”
“Caravan had a beanbag which was really comfy”
‘I liked the caravan it was nice and cosy’
‘The beach was great for skimming stones’
Prices are really reasonable this time of year and we loved the quiet. would certainly recommend this park.
