I’m keeping my resolutions short and sweet as I think this will make them much more do-able.
My first resolution is to spend less.
How I will do this;
- I will meal plan each week so food is not wasted and money not spent unnecssarily. I will diary this in to do each Monday morning after dropping the kids at school.
- I will make all our gift cards this year over several craft sessions with my kids thus saving about £60, I have pencilled in 2 crafty sessions with the kids over the next month and we are going to sort out the playroom and pool all the craft stuff together this Sunday.
- I will stop using my tumble drier by keeping on top of the laundry and popping it on each and every morning before breakfast giving me lots of time to hang it around the radiators duirng the day y

3 very simple do-able aims with direct planned action. I will tape this up on my fridge and vow to do all through Januray. 21 days are supposed to be enough for a new habit to take hold so the rest of the year should then be plain sailing. Definataely a couple of hundred pounds saved here. Do you have any budgeting resolutions?

My OH doesn’t like any change smaller than 50ps, so every day he takes his change and puts it in our money box. My plan this year is to take precisely what I need for my lunch each day (75p for a soup at our subsidised canteen) and therefore not end up getting cash out of the machine endlessly and spending too much and eating too much. Its a double win!
Great idea – I need to keep on top of meal-planning/shopping, but just not sure that I’ll ever be that organised.
But I do spend sooo much money by going to Tesco Metro almost every day and flinging stuff in my basket.
Must. Be. More. Organised!
Oh an d me such good intentions….
Hey i like that plan!
I love the idea of no. 2. Am already doing no. 1 to an extend. Still getting my head around no. 3 – that’s the one that will take me most resolve! Thanks for the tips, always useful
