Over at a rather fabulous blog called At home with Mrs M is a regular post called meal planning monday. People link up their meal plans for a week. The aim is to be organised, frugal and not to waste food as well as be inventive and prepared. What a totally excellent idea. Food waste is just a terrible shame and meal planning really helps use food before it is wasted.
Well this week I am going to have a go and I urge you to have a go too. For the record we are all veggies and I am rather a plain cook! Here is my plan for the week:
Monday
Baked potatoes cheese beans
Tuesday
Tomato soup and quesidillas
Wednesday
Broccoli and quorn sausage pasta
Thursday
Home made pizzas and avacado salad
Friday
Corn on the cob, fried potaoes and quorn bacon
Saturday
Homemade veggie lasagne

Sunday
Vegetarian frittata and mixed veggies
I’ll let you know how I get on and if I think it helped me budget, organise and not waste food! Do you meal plan?

I’m gonna try the same from Tuesday as all these are vegetarian and great ideas. I’ll also record how much I spent on the ingredients! An interesting exercise and thanks for some brilliant suggestions!
I like your meal plan Becky. We aren’t veggie but do eat a lot of quorn (husband not that keen, but girls love it).
I meal plan too. Apart from ensuring we don’t waste food (which is a crime for many reasons) it really helps us busy mums doesn’t it?
Tonight it’s Healthy Chicken Curry and naan, tomorrow is midweek roast, thursday we’re at a friends for tea and then Friday is pizza and chips night! Homemade usually
