Please consider helping some desperate Ugandan Mums this Mother’s day

Can you imagine having felt you needed to abandon your baby? It doesn’t bear thinking about does it. But in Uganda it happens a lot. We can help make it stop.

Newborn and young babies are often found abandoned in taxi parks, hospitals, police stations and on the roadsides of Kampala.  Child’s i Foundation aims to tackle the problem of child abandonment in Uganda by taking care of the babies and trying  to help put families back together.

Mother’s Day (Sunday 3rd April)

Here is how you can help. Child’s i foundation have launched an online baby shower where people can purchase a Mother’s Day gift, instead of the usual chocolate and flowers  there are a range of items including a carer’s salary, clean drinking water and family transport so they can visit their baby.  With each purchase they will send a handwritten card to the loved one, letting them know the gift has been purchased, each card having a photo of  one of their beautiful babies.

Please do consider a purchase from the  online baby shower

It could change absolutely everything for another mum far away without her child.

Thank you for this initiative. I am a mother and I was able to give birth to my child in a safe environment. I feel that I have a moral obligation to advocate for those mothers, families who do not have access to those facilities not only because of poverty or lack of insfrastructure but also due to conflicts. Any action to help communities in developing countries afford the basic need is a blessing.

Thank you on behalf of all those children who need our love and care.
