I am so lucky to live near the very beautiful Eden Hall Spa in Newark, Notts and have written about the fabulous treatments I have reviewed there on several occasions with my blogging pals Amanda, Penny and Jen. This main purpose of this visit was to experience the new Clarins additions to the Eden Spa package and oh my goodness….definitely my favourite yet.
Going to the spa makes for lots of smiles!
We always receive a warm and friendly welcome at Eden Hall who also provide you bathrobe and towels for use on the day. Once changed you can relax in the conservatory with breakfast or drinks before enetering the spa. I love the big open conservatory with its cosy throws and huge central firebowl. It is such a relaxing place and the perfect place to sit and chat with friends.
After having a coffee and a catch up we went into the beautiful herbal caladrium followed by a lovely hour in the hot tubs. Despite the grey day I felt up lifted and invigorated by these experiences and felt my shoulders ease their tension.
A real treat for those looking to totally unwind and indulge in some precious “me time”.
After fully relaxing it was time for my Clarins makeover.
Clarins is a recent addition to Eden Hall and a new range for me to try. Having my make up done by an expert with these beautiful products was such a treat. Carrie Anne was fabulous and really talked to me about my skin and my preferred colours and coverage.
I absolutely adored how light the make up felt and my therapist really respected my preference for a natural look.
Despite being a Clarins cult products Clarins beauty flash balm was a revelation to me and just made my skin look so much younger and luminous. An excellent primer too I found the foundation lasted really well.
I even had some eye shadow popped on and I don’t think I have ever worn eye shadow once in my entire adult life.
I came away with a Clarins product from the spa shop at Eden hall that I just have to share with you. The Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector is an award winning lip balm that plumps up your lips and adds a lovely glossy light colour. I love this product. Totally conditioning and it made my lips look younger and fuller. I have a version in pink and nude and they are just perfect for me. The flash balm came home with me too and i think both products will become my make up bag staples.
The Eden hall Spa shop is rather fabulous and well worth a look on your visit as they have some wonderful items at excellent prices.
So what do you think of my makeover…..
Here’s my ‘looking a bit dishevelled straight out of the hot tub’ look
and my post make up selfie
I think she did a great job and the Clarins make up lasted really well. So nice to be taught a few new make up techniques too. I would definitely recommended a makeover with these fabulous products with a wonderful Eden hall beauty therapist.
When you talk to anyone who has been to Eden Hall you will find one of the first things they mention s the food. It is rather spectacular. The new executive chef at Eden ian Smith talked about hepw flexible and creative the team are at Eden and how you have lots of choice over what you would like to eat.
I have to tell you the cauliflower and cheese soup was outstanding. All the food was beautifully presented too.
A 3 course meal comes as a standard part of your day package and noodle bar and additional salads and breads are included.
I know you all love a bargain and Eden Hall, whilst always good value, does has the occasional day where prices are reduced and £69 will get you a whole day plus the amazing 3 course lunch. dates for his excellent value treat can be found here
