Review: Jurys Inn and Alton Towers

The last week of the school holidays loomed and I felt quite sad . We have had a lovely time all together and  one last big adventure was definitely called for.

We were lucky enough to be offered the opportunity to visit Jurys Inn  Derby and go on to Alton Towers the next day as part of the special  leisure package offered by Jurys Inn.

Jurys Inn Derby is a lovely building set slightly off the road in the cathedral area of the city. It has it’s own car park and a sweet little outdoor seating area. Staff were warm and welcoming and helpful throughout our stay.

The hotel is spacious and airy and our rooms were just right. Well decorated and clean.

We had an adjoining door through to a room for the kids with 2 single beds and their own TV.

Coffee , tea,  biscuits etc and towels were provided and ice and water coolers were on every floor.

Our evening meal had a nice selection of foods on offer and our veggie  kids had cheesy toasted fingers , pizza and salad and BIG ice creams!! We had potato soup, Halloumi salad and a big bite of the kids ice cream. Very tasty and really relaxed and pleasant surroundings.

My husband watched some sport in the bar  (football)  whilst I put the kids to bed (same old story!) We all slept well and ate a hearty buffet breakfast the next day before our trip to Alton Towers.

I love that you check in from 2 and don’t have to check out till 12.

I love the space in the rooms

I loved the warmth of the staff and I absolutely adored the fact that there was a little lending library of bedtime reading in case you forgot your story books. How uber cute is that !

Alton towers was ace of course and we also went to Splash landings.

We had a lovely trip and it was really nice to get there nice and early because we stopped close by too. We also felt less stressed because we had less travelling to do before our big day out.

A great package deal and a good value deal. We would certainly do it again.

Depending on where you stay Jury’s Inn have all sorts of great leisure deals on offer

How about the Alton Towers Resort, is that worth the money we pay?
