Sunday Inspiration: A Special Lady and a Luminarium.

A little while back a bunch of East Midland parent bloggers came together to support  blog it for babies and to create a window for a Luminarium entitled Exxopolis  which is today on show at Nottingham University. It was a huge effort (very tricky) and lots of fun.  Penny who co-ordinated the event should be rightly proud of what she initiated. The big luminous building now standing at Nottingham University Park is an inspiring testament to effort, energy, community and goodwill. It is also a glorious piece of art.  To see some great photos and read about the  Exxopolis launch see Penny’s blog about it . Here is the window we made.

Inspired as I am by art you will probably know by now it is people that inspire me most. Though not a blogger herself an old friend of mine and Jen’s ( www.lovechicliving.co.uk) rolled up to help us parent bloggers create our community window and raise much needed funds for #blogitgforbabies. She is shy so I am not going to put her full name or a full photo and embarass her.

But here is Catherine in the Luminarium enjoying the peaceful light;

Catherine is a special lady in that she is (without any doubt) probably one of the very best people I have ever  known. She is to her very core, a kind and good person. She also seeks to see the good in people and understand them, she is absolutely lovely, She is smart and extremely funny too but in a quiet way and she is unassuming and humble about her talents. She is a real pleasure to know. It was typical of her to pitch in and help. Across the board everyone I know who knows her feels the same about her. My mum was similar with her amazing sweetness.  Catherine is a real shining light….I aspire to be as nice as her.  Nice may not be a massive word but it is underrated in my book – it’s absolutely the best quality you could wish for in a friend.

Catherine – thank you for helping with this project and for being such a special person to know. You are an inspiration.
