The Honesty Shop

I am unfailingly honest.

If I found £5 in the park I would take it to the local police station.Likewise an abandoned scooter. If I am overpaid in change I always say.

But sadly I have been stung a few times. People have borrowed money and not paid me back, I once dropped £10 and someone ran past picked it up before I did and ran on. Someone once conned me and my friend on holiday.

I am not as trusting and I used to be that others are honest too.

I do however instil in my kids how very important being honest is. It changes how I feel about people if I know they lack this quality because it think it s fundamental to someone’s character. It’s about respect for others and its about trust and making this a nice world.

So the Honesty Shop to me is a very interesting concept .

Have a read of this …

The Honesty Shop is a unique gift shop with both an online and high street presence. They  promote children products, accessories and footwear
The Honesty Shop represents a unique business model. The shop, the world’s first honesty shop in any city in the world is housed in a classic red double-decker bus affectionately known as Trusty, they trust theirr customers to self administer their payments in Honesty Envelopes posted in our red GPO box on the bus. This gives The Honesty Shop an unusual and controversial high street presence that creates both visibility and publicity.

Take a look…..

The website www.TheHonestyShop.com promotes and offers British made gifts and crafts and customers can choose a charity to which 10% of their profit is donated. A ”Thank You Certificate” is available to download after a transaction is completed.

Ethical shopping…. I LOVE the idea and I so hope people respect it.

What do you think?

Becky you are one of the most honest people I know. Children need to be taught honesty as if you aren’t honest it can get you into trouble.
