Vizzkids: High visibility cycle seat cover: Review and Competition

We have spent a lovely time this week doing lots of cycling at www.centerparcs.co.uk
There of course you are in a forest without traffic and totally safe but it is a bit different when you are on the road.

Letting people know you have a child on board is important to most parents…particularly on a bike where they can be so vulnerable. This  high visibility seat cover from Vizz kids is an excellent safety idea . It is for rear mounted child cycle seats to enhamce visibility day or night, It has a:

  • bike light pocket,
  • a zipped storage pocket,
  • fits most cycle seats
  • and has a child on board notice.

Simple and clever; like all the best safety idea.

This usually costs £23.99.

Competition

I have one to give away for free. Simply tell me what you love about cycling with your little one to enter.

I love cycling and breathing in the fresh air, I love seeing beautiful countryside. Having a baby with you and being able to show her all this, to introduce her to the world of many new things is such a bonus! Its also a special bonding time for us! Thanks for the giveaway, I ‘d love to win this cover- I am always worried about the safety of my little girl.

I use to love the freedom, and the exercise, and the fact we could go places to far away for them to walk, and it was much much quicker than walking. My pal and I use to put the boys in the bikes and ride parallel but the boys developed a bad habit of grabbing each others hands and pushing and pulling each other thinking it was great fun!!
think bikes are a brilliant ,ode of transport. ( please dont enter me in draw I have no use for the prize my youngest is now 22 but wanted to comment)

It is fun, great excercise and a useful skill for my child to learn as I dread to think what the price of petrol will be when my daughter is old enough to drive!! Cycling is a great way of sneaking her out from in front of the tv and getting her into the great outdoors

I only learnt to ride a bike very recently because my eldest was learning and I wanted to be able to share cycle rides with her.

What I love about cycling with my kids is the fact that my daughter is now really confident on her cycle so our roles are reversed and she takes care of poor old mum, looking out for me and making sure I’m OK.

Not only do I see that she has such fantastic confidence and road sense but I also see how kind and caring she is.

Now we have a smaller one who currently has to share a cycle with me it’s even better because ‘big sis’ can show ‘little sis’ how much fun it is to cycle.

It was my first day back from maternity leave on Monday, our new bike (complete with snazzy seat) arrived Saturday (Alice’s birthday) so off we set round the park for a practice on Sunday accompanied by much screaming (the I don’t want this helmet on variety) which eventually settled into contented coos as she kicked my bottom (she has such flexible feet, they won’t stay in the foot holders) and then singing. Monday morning we set off to work on the city streets (eek) and she sang all the way there. She didn’t particualrly enjoy creche, but she did enjoy the bike ride – I’d love this seat cover, I’m so paranoid that people don’t notice the bike seat.

It ticks lots of boxes in one swoop – both of us getting out in the fresh air, getting sunlight on our skin (hopefully!), exercise for me and learning all about the sights, sounds and smells of the world for him. Perfect!
