Well, I have been trialling the Jenny Craig diet plan and I am delighted to tell you during week one i have lost 6lb. Hurray! It is a new way of dieting for me as before I have either tried to cut back on calories or I have been to Slimming World. With the Jenny Craig diet plan you actually get your diet meals deliivered This has really helped me. By taking away options for me to get it wrong I just gave myself one rule for the week…just eat what it tells me to on the timetable. Somehow it has worked. I was never hungry, tempted yes by cake my kids leftover toast and chips, chocolate bars etc. but never actually hungry.
The breakfasts consisted of porridge, muesli and even wheatflakes with chocolate! Then cam e mid morning fruit. Lunches were noodles, potatoes or soups with which I had a salad. For tea there were dishes liked bean chilli or dhal which I would cook with lots of boiled steamed or roasted veggies. (I’m vegetarian so there are WAY more possibilities than I am mentioning if you aren’t) Some of the food I found delicious and some wasn’t for me but that’s normal I suppose and I am quite picky. I loved the afternoon snack bars and was able to eat yogurts on most days too.
For me the weekly phone calls with Millie my consultant have been the best bit of my Jenny Craig experince. We have discussed motivation, what kind of eater I am, tools and tips to help me stay focussed. She has been encouraging , kind, supportive and really knows her stuff. It’s like having someone totally invested in my diet with me and cheering me on.
