Why it’s good to shop offline for nursery goods

Do you ever shop offline for nursery goods?

One of my best friends has just had a a baby. This hasn’t happened for a while to anyone close to me and oh have I had fun picking out a gift! I often buy online rather than go to local shops but this time I actually really enjoyed wandering around having a browse and a feel for items. When it comes to babies softness and comfort are really important and actually it isn’t always that easy to ascertain that online.

Have a look at this lovely baby carrier below. Isn’t it gorgeous?

When it comes to baby wearing comfort is key or they just aren’t goingto settle so in buying a carrier feeling the fabric is really important.

I also feel that with prams it is nice to ‘have a go.’  You know, actually feel for yourself how easy it is to steer and to put down and to use the canopy or move positions with it.

Being tactile with baby goods is really useful and even though you  spot an online bargain actually nothing is good value if you don’t use it! Having a good feel of what you are going to buy makes sense no matter how alluring a quick online shop can be. Knowing you like the feel of something means you know it will be okay for your baby.

Real life shopping with a young baby in a pram used to be daunting but more and more baby stores have realized customers need space to push prams and have accommodated this. Actual nursery stores are also great places to find good customer service and advice which can be really useful when people are purchasing something they probably have never bought before and need it be ‘right’.

There as lot to be said for shopping ‘offline’ for nursery goods.
