I love the routine of putting Piran to bed every night, we do the same thing each time. I ask him if he wants his duvet, he lies down, we say ‘arms up’ and then I lay it over him and ‘arms down’ and he traps the duvet under his arms. He is usually asleep in seconds!
i love tucking both my boys up in bed at night as I have peace and mind that they are happy, healthy and safe, and there is no better feeling in the world.

The best thing about putting Samuel is that it is complete Mummy and Samuel time. We read a few stories together. We have a cuddle and a kiss and then he gets into bed. I always stroke the top of his head, which helps to relax him. There is nothing I like better than looking at him alsleep and thinking how much I love him.

Truthfully, the best thing about putting my 2 and 5 year old boys to bed is knowing i am about to get a few hours to my self, god knows i love my boys but they really put the “boy” in to boistrous and after a hectic day keeping them amused and stopping them from killing each other, there is nothing better that running a piping hot bath and having a bit of me time, cause i know that 6am they will be up with huge smiles and masses if energy raring to start the day!
the calm that descends in the 30 minute wind down before bed is my favourite part of the entire day, a good time to go over all that has happened that day, be that good or bad, and a time to remind everyone that tomorrow is a new day full of promise and adventure…heaven!
I really miss tucking the boys in, then snuggling up next to them and reading until it’s really, really time to settle down. My younger son used to like me to pull the cover over him and tuck it in all round as tightly as I could 🙂

I love watching my daughter drifting off to sleep and then just as I’m going to leave her room hearing a sleepy voice say “I love you mummy”.
It’s the special cuddle moment at the end of the day that’s tender and fills you to the brim with happiness and love. I always leave their room feeling a proud mum x

They’ve been bathed, read a story, wound down and now it is kiss and cuddle and good night time – a wish for sweet dreams and see you in the morning…BUT the best moment is hearing the words…’I love you Mummy, night-night!’ – yes that moment is definately the best moment and it will remain locked in my heart until the day I die xxx

The bit of bedtime I love the most is that after her bedtime story I pop my daughter in the cot then she always jumps up for one last kiss and a cuddle before snuggling in with her teddy and waving goodnight as I leave. She is so cute it melts my heart everytime.

I love tucking in my 15 month old to bed, and hearing him say’ ‘na-na dada’ (night night daddy) and blowing me a kiss before rolling over onto his tummy, sucking on his comfort rabbit’s ear and sticking his bottom up in the air- he is a real creature of habbit and does this every night-i miss it when I have to work late, but just thinking about it gives me the warm fuzzies!

A kiss and a cuddle knowing they have had a happy and fullfilling day. Reading them a bedtime story too brings back happy memories of my lovely parents too.
I love my kids to bits they are a constant source of joy. Every night without fail I tuck them in to bed. A big kiss (I make sure it’s a sloppy one which always makes them giggle)and a huge cuddle. I love it, they love it. My kids are now 13 and almost 12. I figure the time I have left to tuck them in is rapidly running out.

The best thing about tucking my two into bed at the end of the day is that it is just me and them, with no distractions from computer games or the television. They give me their full attention as I read them a bed time story and they snuggle under the covers listening raptly.
Its lovely to see their sleepy face as you read their bedtime story. Its also lovely for me as a single parent to leave the room, close the door behind me and know that its ‘MUMMY TIME’

Me and my children make a game of it. We pretend that I am making a pie and the bed is the pastry and the kids choose what filling they are (a different one each night) and then I tuck them in and then pretend to pour over the gravy/custard and put on the sprinkles etc. They giggle their heads off everynight and go to sleep feeling happy and I love to see them laugh. The best thing about tucking my kids into bed at night is knowing I finally have time to have a coffee! Dont get me wrong, I kiss them both, I snuggle them up to teddy and reassure them lots, check them lots and they know I am not far away – but you do get those days, when the terror has been running wild within them – and they have screamed and charged about until they can hardly stand up – drained of energy but still manage to remain LOUD until tiny heads hit the pillows!!
That little bit of “ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh” before sneeking back in to check they havnt either A) kicked the douvet off or B) Buried themselves under the douvet and are damp with sweat! Fab stuff. xx

They are usually at their most subdued and cuddly at bedtime, so it’s a lovely feeling being able to envelop them for lovely cuddles and I can then go off to my own bed with a sense of security knowing that they are safely tucked up in their beds.

I love the magical stories I can tell them, chilhood memories they will keep. I used to love the stores my mum read to when when I was younger, so I hope my daughter will feel the same way.

Reading the very hungry caterpillar and deliberately saying the wrong words so my 4 year old daughter tells me off then corrects me… followed by our sleep tight routine… a kiss on each eyelid for sweet dreams, an eskimo nose rub and a big kiss and cuddle

I have to be completely honest here – the best thing about tucking my little boy in at night is the peace and quiet that follows! I love him dearly but he’s 9months, just cutting his teeth and just pulling himself up on the sofa and getting everywhere. So with the crying because of his teeth and running around trying to make sure he doesn’t hurt himself I am absolutely nackered long before his bedtime. Its nice just to have a tiny bit of me time. x
I love that closeness I get when tucking my daughter in at night. We have a bath together, then a story and I get kisses and cuddles before she goes to sleep. I always pop in before I go to bed to steal an extra kiss and just love to watch her sleeping.

I love the feeling you get of falling in love with them a little bit more, even if they have had me pulling my hair out during the day, when it’s time to tuck them in and everyone is quiet after storytime and they look up and say I love you Mummy, that is the best feeling ever.

The best thing about tucking baby Ruby into her cot is switching on her mobile & watching her little face as she listens to the music & watches the mobile as she relaxes into sleep
Has to be the smell after a bath and the angelic look on her face as she sleeps.
I love tucking Daisy in at night because she smells sooooo lovely. She makes plenty of not so delicate smells during the day so to tuck her in when she’s all clean and smells beautiful is the best thing in the world.

I love the ‘I love you’ goodnight song we sing from Barney. She’s 3 1/2 now and ive sung it too her since she was born to get her to sleep.
all the chaos of the day just melts away into stories and snuggles and cuddles , it is just the best time of the day and to see him angelic and sleeping safe is lovely.

I look forward to the peace and quiet, being able to the house back to some kind of order, and then being able to rest and recharge my battery, before doing at all again tomorrow.

I love how the joy of something so simple, like reading a story and a kiss goodnight is all they need right then and there. All they want is you to be there as the last thing they see before they shut their tired eyes. So sweet!

The best thing about tucking my little boy into bed at night is looking at his little face and feeling so wonderfully blessed to have such a gorgeous little man in our lives.

I love to look at the children when they’re all tucked up in bed and look so angelic. I have to admit that it is nice too, to be able to get a little rest and know that they’re safe and well and all is mostly peaceful until morning!

I look after my grandchild to help her dad as he is disabled and the mother left with no care for her child.I love my grandchild with all my heart,she is very helpful and loves to give you hugs and even more at bedtime after her many bedtime stories so this is what i love about tucking her in at night time as i know the next day will be just as hectic with her but i wouldn’t have it any other way

i love the smell of my five year old,when she has had and bath and when she wraps her arms round my neck for a big love.
My favourite thing about putting the kids to bed is the prospect of getting our dinner! (on weekdays the kids have already had theirs at nursery so we have to wait until they are in bed)
But I do also love the goodnight kiss and especially when one or the other of them says “I love you Mummy”….it melts my heart!

Making them all nice and snuggly and then the happy memories it brings of my mum doing the same for me when I was little.
The amazing questions they come up with out of the blue so that you’ll just stay a bit longer so that they don’t have to go to sleep for a bit longer!
