The best thing about being a mum? Looking at my tearaway toddler, and feeling the pride surge through me. I grew her. Me. There’s no better feeling.

The best thing about being a mum, is leaving Baba somewhere when I am working and going to collect him, and hearing him shout from the top of his voice. “Mummmmmmiiiieeee” and running to me to hug my leg as he only stands as high as my knee that there is love! xx

The best thing about being a mum is forgetting to be angry with the little things in life when my baby smiles his soulful toothless grin at me.

The best thing for me is that even with all the ups and downs that go along with it, I really feel being a mum has completed me, and I would be a lesser person without my children.

The best thing so far? Seeing the baby move around so much on the scan last week. I didn’t realise it would be so active & I was enthralled. S/he turned to the camera & waved… so the shy retiring type then… wonder who s/he takes after?!

It’s hard to pick one thing… all the daily challenges and achievements and perhaps most of all seeing your child’s own personality emerge makes being a parent the most amazing thing.
