As I am sure you must know by now I am rather in love with Pinterest.
Pinterest is a hive of ideas and interests that are just waiting for you to search for them and to gather them together on boards you can go back to when you are ready to be inspired. It is like one big fabulous treasure box where you can have your own compartments and place all your favourite treasures.
I have almost 100 boards on Pinterest, everyone tells me I should have less, apparently it is better for SEO. But I just cannot help myself… there are just TOO MANY fabulous ideas on there and I have too many interests to reduce them. I have a real affection for each and everyone of my boards!
One of my most favourite boards is a collaborative board I run with award winning parenting blogger Chris Mosler. It is called Simple ideas for a rich life and it is basically a collection of ideas and thoughts around simple things we can do or focus on to enrich our lives. I just love that it is both practical and inspiring and practically inspiring. It is also very natural and avoids the need for money!
Follow Becky Goddard-Hill’s board Simple Ideas for a Rich Life on Pinterest.
My favourite pins on here are the super simple and natural flower fairies I made with my daughter last year
and this gorgeous driftwood craft game from Chris’s own blog Thinly Spread, isn’t it lovely?
It is such a pleasure to collaborate on a Pinterest board that is about my values with a true friend whose heart sings the same tune as mine. Collaborating on Pinterest is great fun and I have found it such a pleasure to build and be inspired by this board.
Simplicity is,I believe, key to a rich life and taking pleasure in simple things saves you money and stops you striving endlessly for more. Its all about appreciating and enjoying what you have and making the most of it I think this pin on our board from themetapicture sums it all up for me really.
Finding pins that resonate with me has been a huge pleasure and sharing my pins with like-minded souls has really delighted me.
Pinterest is a wonderful way to find a community of people with the same interests as you. It’s such a great concept really and no matter how unusual your interests or how niche I bet you will find another pinner pinning things that make your heart sing too.
I really need to get into Pinterest, I do not use it as much as I should but will definitely be checking out your boards! x
I love this so much! Will definitely be subscribing to that board even though I just cant fall in love with Pinterest however much I try!
I think we try to fill out lives with things we want instead of things we need, simplicity is the key to a truly rich life.
I LOVE that snoopy cartoon to bits! Totally sums up my attitude too. There’s so much hustle and bustle and noise online that I’ve chosen to step right back and enjoy the offline more these days.
Recently re-kindled my love of Pinterest too 🙂
I desperately need to get my pinterest boards into order and also audit better who and what I’m following on there. There are so many amazing pins and boards out there!
I LOVE Pinterest. I have lots of boards too and I could spend hours on there. I find it so inspiring it is a wonderful place to be.
Ohh what a nice board that is Becky, I must come and follow it. I on’t go on Pinterest much at all, justa nother thing there is not enough time for sadly! Mich x
I love this board of yours and Chris. It’s both inspirational and grounded at the same time.
See, NOW I get why pinterest could be fun!
